About The Wave :

The Wave is a locally owned, private, officially permitted “jitney” shuttle company created to enhance the entertainment districts develop while helping to improve public safety, enhance residential and business development, and improve quality of life within the City of Houston.

The first Wave launched in the Washington Corridor in November, and has expanded to Houston's other entertainment districts and locations. The shuttles are high-quality, and operate on a fixed route, with fixed rates helping to connect people and places, while helping to alleviate the area’s immediate and critical mobility needs.  

The Wave makes mobility between popular cultural, entertainment, residential and business destinations easy, affordable, safe, and fun with a growing fleet of high quality shuttles and free parking at the southwest corner of Houston Avenue & Memorial Avenue in Lot H & 230 TC Jester. We are here to take the stress of parking, traffic, drinking&driving, and expense out of the equation. We add back into the equation some excitement, fun, coordination, and safety. The Wave is on a mission to change Houstonian’s perception of public transportation.

Our drivers are all permitted by the City of Houston and have gone through FBI clearance, municipal court clearance, a physical, a drug screen, and defensive driving presentations per the Jitney Ordinance. Then they go through rigorous traning in fun, and they are quite the bunch of area experts these days.
