We are looking for fun, out-going, individuals to work for our new company. The Wave is Houston’s 1st officially permitted “jitney” shuttle service in 15 years. What is a “jitney” you might ask? Therein lies the challenge. We need to make sure everyone knows. We are a public transportation company different from that of any others in Houston. We are a fun, public,  shuttle bus service currently serving the Washington Corridor, Midtown, & The Heights with plans for expansion in the near future.

Positions Available:Wave Catcher

SHUTTLE BUS DRIVER POSITION:

This job is so much more than a shuttle bus driver. It is equal parts driving, marketing, PR, sales, public relations, and entertainment.  It is for a person who can work well in a fast paced environment, and is also a lot of fun. The pay is good, and you can now make additional money on the sales side.

 

Currently we are looking for Drivers to represent our company! The primary duties include:

Assure safe, convenient, courteous, expeditious transportation for all Wave customers.

Drive a 15 passenger shuttle bus vehicle on one of the routes approved.

Provide, maintain and ensure complete customer service of all riders.

Interact positively and use strong, clear and concise communication skills.

Explain service to patrons who are riding& who inquire within.

Comply with federal, state and/or company requirements to secure and maintain any special licenses.

Market & educate the public about this service & what it has to offer

Have a working knowledge of the area you are serving

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT, YOU MUST HAVE/DO THE FOLLOWING:Valid Driver License Social Security Card

FBI fingerprinting complete& a clear criminal history

Get clearance from municipal courts Working cell phone, no answering service or pagersAble to pass a DOT physical and drug screen

Two verifiable character references You must be neat in appearance, and posses a pleasant outgoing demeanor

Be at least 24 years of ageHave a strong work ethic, and customer service experience

Salary/Wage: Dependent on experienceStatus: Part-time (could be full-time if you take several shifts)Shift: Mostly Nights (Thurs,Fri,Sat) but additional times also needed

Assist Wave Runner with cash/credit card processing. Assist in promotions and sales. Education to the public about the service. Help in coordinating drop off/pick up of riders. Status updates through social media outlets. The Wave Catcher is the entertainment monitor, making sure everyone is having fun and being safe.
